Pirate
is the friendliest goat. Glade gave us three little
bucks in
2011 and I fell in love with Cheerio and was going to
keep him, until a
situation lead to me selling him, so he and his buddy
could stay together. I
wanted to keep more kids out of Glade, because she was
getting to be an aged
doe. Glade gave us four bucklings from a repeat
breeding. Boy did she
give me some choices, yet no does. All the bucks
were beautiful and all
were keepers and Pirate picked me. He followed me
everywhere and every morning
he waited for me to come see him. Sometimes with
these sweet friendly
bucklings, we get an ornery buck. Glade is our
kind of doe. She’s a
deep, tall, large doe and has tons of dairy
character. She comes from
great milk, with her dam being a 5000-pound
milker. Her sire Wacker gave
us some great milking does that could show. GCH
Mamm-Key Hershey’s Cocoa
& GCH Mamm-Key BS Tapestry, being two of my
favorites. Glade’s daughter
Jitterbug is a 5000 pound milker. The Mamm-Key
pedigree has deep heels, tight
toes and strong pasterns. Sailor’s dam is a long
tall large doe with a
beautiful mammary. Pirate has great fore udders
& strong udder
attachments in his pedigree in both Glade and
Sebastienne. Pirate has a
great top line and is long and tall. He is showing
great dairy character
with his beautiful sculptured head, flat bones, open
ribs and long bone
pattern. He has a flat shoulder blade, blending smoothly
into his high withers. He’s a balanced
buck. He does toe out a
little. |
